i-med is helping children in south african townships with sustainable education about health, childhood development and
small-step-ecology.
In order to improve child health i-MED vision supports the people of South Africa's townships through medical training and advice.
Organisation
We are a group of doctors who have accompanied numerous children's through their fates, and as a result of these experiences came to the decision of improving the living conditions and development opportunities of these children. We support the efforts of many organisations by imparting a basic medical understanding to parents and educators, enabling them to take first life saving measures, detect life-threatening diseases and accompanying them in the daily medical-pedagogical care. i-MED vision prevents children dying from complications caused by every day diseases and supports them to unfold themselves according to their abilities through a healthy development.
History
The founders of i-MED vision have been working in the organizational development of social projects and the medical supervision of children's care and treatment for many years. The necessity of a sustainable educational and care provision, lead to the idea of complementing the local training and counseling with an interactive online offer.
